Fairy Tip~Toes
Slated to debut this Fall, Fairy Tip~Toes is a unique collection of designs crafted for quilting cottons. The challenge was creating a 44" wide panel with basic blocks as in a traditional quilt. Well, doing nothing in a traditional method, Tina decided to break out of the 'blocks' so to speak, and create interesting segues from one area to another. Almost like she creates stationery or for paper, the panel could almost be a scrapbook page . Four coordinating designs were created for each color palette. Tina also maintained the integrity of each fairy and dedicated one color group to each of them. And says her biggest challenge in creating this group was ensuring a maximum of 12 specific colors in each panel. "Which is difficult because my art is not flat, it's watercolor which naturally contains many more colors than a flat computer generated image. But I did it!" She says with glee.
